Can you really rely on your children to do their homework? so that they will put the dishes away?
Many families are struggling because they believe that as parents, we should do absolutely everything for our children! Besides, we’re all busy, and it’ll be quicker if we just do it.
Is that right? However, we would like them to be independent.
How’s that for independence?
So the big question that I’ll keep bringing up is, do we see ourselves as equal to our children? It does not imply that they are our friends, with no boundaries or rules (which we all share in the house), but it does imply that we are not superior.
The days of kids being afraid of their parents are long gone…
The parents are now more afraid of their children!
I’ll remind you of the group where you felt good because you were contributing and no one judged you. Can we do the same with our children?
